Background

There are two electrical steam boilers in an operation theater of a government hospital. Boiler feed water is not treated as the steam is used for sterilization of surgical tools. Heating filament together with the boiler shell were coated with a thick layer of mineral scale in the past which imposed difficulty to maintenance.

After knowing the descaling performance of HydroFLOW from other hospitals, it was decided to install HydroFLOW to correct the problem.

Result

After six months of operation without pre-cleaning of the filament, it was found that the scale deposit on filament was dissolved as shown in picture 1.

Since then, no filament is burnt out due to the formation of mineral scale and protection of heating filament is achieved.
